019: The ‘Acting’ You, Or The ‘Real’ You?
It’s a short one from me this week I’m afraid.
Filming a six day conference plus a day of teaching at Anglia Ruskin has put a bit of a squeeze on my time this week.
On the BIG plus side, I’ve finally begun to shoot and edit my first Natives short film. It features Jessica Pidsley and her husband Matt Bannister who were both trained at the world famous RADA. The purpose of the film is to explore the fear and vulnerability that comes with public speaking (or speaking on camera), and I thought I would just share this quote with you as a little teaser of what’s to come:
“The person who we think we're allowed to be. The person that we think we're supposed to be; hides the person that we actually are.
And nothing's more interesting than the person that we are, because everything else is just somebody else's idea.”
Matt Bannister
Have a great weekend.
